How to achieve mindfulness? Start by being aware that you are aware of your breath. This will help to bring you back to the present moment.
Mindful breathing helps to relax your mind, reduce stress, lower your heart rate and blood pressure.

Find a nice quiet area you may choose to sit on the floor, on your chair, or practice mindful breathing while walking.

Start by relaxing your body and becoming aware of your breath and the sensations around your nose while you breathe. You do not have to change the way you breathe just breathe naturally. Your awareness of your breathing naturally helps to slow down your breathing patterns, making you feel more relaxed.

Focus your awareness on how air moves in and out through your lungs, mouth, and nose. Mindful breathing will become a form of calming meditation.

Thoughts may arise, it is alright, just be aware that your thoughts are arising and let them go, and back to being aware of your breath.

A short ten minutes practice will help to calm and relax your mind. I practice this every morning before I start my day. It helps to energize me and provides me with the concentration I needed throughout my day.
