Mindfulness is like peace only can happen within us, it begin with meditative awareness, where we are aware that we are aware, and it can only happen within us through our practice. It’s similar to swimming and cycling skills, and no matter how much we read about it, we won’t know how to do it until we practise it ourselves.
Others can only teach us by guiding us, and we have to get into the water or on the bike pedal and experience it ourselves.
That is like the peace in us, and no one can provide us with long-lasting peace when our mind is always in a mess. Thus, peace comes from within, and we have to work from within ourselves through meditation and mindfulness practices.
