Mindfulness unfolding of this moment, mindfulness is a state of meditative awareness in which you are aware that you are aware. Thus, being in the present moment is the essence of mindfulness teaching.
Negative thoughts can only exist in two places: the past and the future. Our past and future thoughts will cease to exist when we are in the present moment.
I am easily bothered by situations before I practise mindfulness. When I dropped something, such as a glass of water on the table, I became frustrated. My thoughts will be in the future, with images of clearing up the mess flashing through my head, evoking memories of embarrassing occasions in my life. If I can stay in the present moment and focus on cleaning up the mess, accepting “what is,” and letting the story end there, I won’t be frustrated since our continual thought processes support our past and future thoughts.
Therefore, stay with the freshness of the unfolding of this moment, be here and now in the present moment, that will bring you peace and calmness.
